It is known that the written literature of each nation regardless of its literary type,
benefited from folklore and at certain times included its genre features. In this sense,
the experience of representation from oral literature played an important role in the
formation of representation as a separate literary genre.
Allegorical elements, which have their origins in oral folklore, have been
transcribed from time to time and have been passed from tongue to tongue (from
generation to generation), established as an independent literary genre of universal
significance in the process of literary and cultural integration.
The presented article examines the similarity of theme and plot in classical and
modern allegorical works. There is a detailed talk about Kh. Shirvani's allegorical
poem “Mantigut-teyr”, allegorical works that resonate with this poem are involved in
the research. The author of the article also researches the ongons in the oral and
written literature, “Tutinames”, which were widespread in the Middle Ages, and
completes his ideas with selected examples from allegorical.
