The presented article covers the period of the creation and formation of the periodical press in Azerbaijan, mainly satirical magazines. The article reviews and evaluates the work of a number of satirical press organs that influenced the socio-cultural mood of society, the harmony of activity in different historical periods of our country, and directed the attention of citizens to existing socio-moral problems. At the same time, in its considerations regarding the famous "Kirpi", which had a fundamental impact on social and literary thought in Azerbaijan in the second half of the last century, the activity of this satirical magazine, as the successor of the satirical press bodies that preceded it, in developing that invaluable heritage is discussed.
As the scientific and theoretical significance of the article we are discussing, it can also be noted that here the fact of marking the nature of the socio-cultural mood manifested in the text semantics of individual articles containing their subject and content indicators under the influence of the dialectical development dynamics of the social life of satirical magazines is touched upon. At this time, the author of the article, referring to historical documents, as well as various facts that left their mark on the socio-cultural life of the period, draws attention to the fact that the emergence of satirical magazines stems from the requirements of the social order, and is due to the need of society for the press.
The article assesses the importance of satirical journals in historical and chronological order not only for specific years, but also for the cultural life of the period as a whole, as well as large and small problems arising from political and social contradictions in the scientific-theoretical plane by expressing their sufficiently capacious scientific conclusions on its social harmony. This undoubtedly satisfies the richness of the content of the article in question.
