REFUGEE TRAGEDY OF WESTERN AZERBAIJAN IN EPIC LITERATURE AND HISTORICAL ROMANCE

The presented research is devoted to the problem of the reflection of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in the literature, happened in 1918-1920 in the one of the ancient lands of Azerbaijan Goycha district.
In this sense, the poetry of the one of great masters of Azerbaijani oral folk literature ashug (Caucasian folk poet and singer) Alasgar (1821-1926) and the autobiographical epos "The miller ashug", which presents the path of the artist’s life, was chosen as the object of research.
Ashug Alasgar's old age coincided with a difficult time. After the massacre committed by Armenian general Andranik's gangs in Goychay district, the population decreased significantly. Ashug Alasgar's family escaped from these battles and was able to settle in the Ganlikend area of Kalbajar. Ashug was able to return to his native Aghilsa, which was burned and destroyed by Armenians, only after the establishment of Soviet power.
The article analyzes the years of forced exile of the Goycha people, who fought against the attacks of the Armenian-Dashnak gangs, on the basis of historical facts and Ashug Alasgar's poems with complaints about the time.
The article also provides a comparative analysis of the historical novels "Zangazur" and "Black Mirror", which describe the genocide committed by the Armenian-Dashnak forces in Vedibasar district of Irevan province and Zangazur district of Ganja province in the mentioned years.
