Rubai (Quatrain) in English literary studies
The article focuses on the research made in our literature, as well as English literature about rubai which is one of the classical forms of the eastern poetry. Best known to an Anglophone reading public from the translations of Omar Khayyam by Edward Fitzgerald in 1859, rubai is four hemistichs and has social, philosophical and moral meanings. Many studies have been conducted and books have been written in English about quatrain. In particular, this article represents information about the books of such contemporaries as Paul Smith "Rubai (Quatrain) in Sufi poetry", Dick Davis and Reza Saberi.
