Akram Baghirov

It was written two tazkiras about the literary environment of Karabakh during the XIX century. One of them is “Tazkireyi-Navvab”– written by Mir Mohsun Navvab (1833-1918) who was a literary critic and tazkira writer, an encyclopaedist and a poet, a writer of several works related to the various fields of sciences, and the tazkira of “Riyazul-ashigin” – the work of the poet Mahammadagha Mujtahidzadeh (1867-1958) known under the pseudonym “Mushtari”. All researchers of the Azerbaijani literature of the XIX century used these tazkiras as precious sources. The article is dedicated to the literary and poetic analysis of the literary environment of Karabakh during the XIX century based on the autograph manuscript “TazkireyiNavvab”, which is preserved at the Institute of Manuscripts of ANASnamed after Mahammad Fuzuli.
