The article provides general information about the life and works of the outstanding representative of the Iraqi-Turkman literature – Ata Terzibashi, who played a significant role in the revival and development of Iraqi-Turkman literature, especially folklore. Particular attention is paid to his research in the field of folklore and scientific-literary views. Many of the facts presented in the article were substantiated by words from the mouth of Terzibashi himself.
