Hashim Bey Sagib and socio-political motives in his works

This article examines the life and works of Azerbaijani poet Hashim Bey Sagib. Author explores the impact of historical processes and sociopolitical events that took place during the time then the poet lived – the end of 19th and early 20th centuries – on the work of Sagib. The paper identifies the main objects of criticism of his works on the socio-political motives and reasons for his complaint at the time.
