The article is devoted to the study of sources of Arabic script. The author divides the opinions of scholars about the source of Arabic script into multiple groups, explains the reason for this division, and traces the development of Arabic script. The article leads to the conclusion that both Arabic and Orient researchers are of the same opinion about the development of Arabic script from Nabatean script.
